...So I had this funny shaped square vase - very broad and flat at the front and very narrow on the sides. Perfect for putting a vibrant colourful motif. The owl was my choice. I'd never painted one so I was dying to see what it looked like on the glass. A flower-power, sorta hippie-style owl with a blossom look :)))
The glass paints look very fluorescent in the photos, in fact they are less so. However the colours are very vibrant and flashy. Don't you just love her blossom-shaped eyes? :)) Well, I do!
This is just so gorgeous! Maybe I need to learn how you actually do this. But I have no skill at painting, so i'm sure I would disappointed in my efforts. I do, however, always enjoy seeing what you come up with.
ReplyDeletethank you Susie for dropping by!
Deleteyes, you can also learn how to paint on glass and i can assure you dont need to be a rembrandt or monet :) you could create a great deal of fabulously painted jars! :)
my advice is: just get yourself a small glass painting kit for a start to give it a try and see how you feel about it. you can always ask me some questions too :) practice makes perfect, mind you!
i do love her blossom shaped eyes! this is such a pretty design! gorgeous colours and wonderfully unique - i'm sure you will be selling her/him before too long! x
ReplyDeletethank you. some people say the colours are too vivid but i deliberately used those as browns, greys and black dont look that attractive on glass :)
