Cross Stitched Birthday Tags

Hi all. Hope you're enjoying summertime. We are lucky this year with quite a lot of sunshine in the UK (so far!) I've got plenty time for myself these days :) So alongside with preparing for the driving exam (the less appealing bit!) I'm trying to do some blogging, photographing and of course crafting. I've got 3 projects on the go so I alternate them - a crochet one, a knitting one and a cross stitching one. Just a thought popped into my head: Is this way to keep a multi-crafter happy? What do you think?
Sothis is what I have stitched recently: a set of birthday tags. They were a freebie to the Cross Stitcher issue 281.

It's nothing much but I just fancied a small quick project in between the larger ones like Riverdrift House samplers for example :) It was good fun to stitch every of them.

I'm pleased how they turned out. My favourite is the blue tit, strawberry and cherries. All perfect for summer birthdays.

Today I'm going to join the Hand-made Monday blog hop, no. 179. Get clicking guys!

  1. They are so pretty, I think its nice to do smaller quicker projects inbetween the ones that take a long time. I tend to go with whatever I feel like for crafting, sometimes its knitting, sometimes sewing, sometimes cards etc. It can depend on any number of factors including what mood I'm in.

    1. Absolutely! I'm exactly the same! I always craft accordingly to my mood and can have a few (unfinished!!!) projects going on at the same time :) I also like NOT to go with the flow so it's kinda normal for me stitch Christmas cards in July or start Easter projects right in January :)

    1. Hi Irene, thank you for your comment. It takes 2-3 hrs to stitch one motif together with the backstitches. I stitched mine in just over a week, working on each one at a time :) No rush, just enjoying it.

  3. They are so preetty and such a great idea for mini-projects. You are so right, crafting can be a mood activity - I find it quite relaxing to make cards and it is also something I can do while watching the television. Multi-tasking? Hope you have agood week.

    1. My all crafting is entirely depended on my mood and creating mojo :) If I don't craft, I usually read books :) I also love crafting while watching a telly - I always have something in my hand when I watch!

  8. I love these little tags. Unfortunately, I am terrible at embroidering but I have sent this link to my great friend who is an embroidery master :)
