Turquoise and Brown once more

Time for another batch of cards with brown and turquoise features :) I already blogged about some of them before HERE -  have a peek if you interested. Again - it's all has been made using some scraps of paper, kraft cardstock and stamps :) My favourite card making motifs: hearts and cross stitch pattern.

This card has something new I wanted to try out - hand sewing on card. The cross stitch on the central card topper has been heat-embossed in seafoam white and the squares have been embellished with cross stitches by hand. I'm quite pleased with the effect. "Dla Ciebie"  = For you :)

This card has been literally made from remaining scraps of paper. I had a few coloured offcuts and why not go for a stripey composition? 

I think the vellum fishtail and the pearls are my favourite details here. 

Another card with a heart card topper. Used one of my cross stitch stamps on it.

Stamped Christmas Cards (3): Reindeer

Hi all. Hope you all have had a good week. 

I'm still having a play with my new rubber Christmas stamps from Noolibird. Here is the 3rd batch of my

Christmas cards, this time -  with the Scandinavian reindeer - probably the best known Nordic symbol apart from the eight-petal roses (also called as Nordic snowflakes). I thoroughly enjoyed myself stamping those cards. There was also an opportunity to use some of my Nordic-theme papers :) 

With a trimmed front to show the Nordic snowflake band :)

Gingham pattern seems to be just right for the red-n-white Nordic theme and so does the machine stitch. I just couldn't resist not using this paper. I love adding little details like tiny cowbells which, by the way, genuinely jingle. The devil's in the detail, no doubt :)

Naturally, the brown craft paper is back again :)

I've also tried the red-white-n-blue combination of colours, combined with the red stamped images and machine stitched zig-zag.

Sometimes simplicity is the best. Here, only paper, stamp and embossing were used.

1. I love my kindle. I'm a great fan of ebooks and I like to have my ebook reader on me everywhere so I can read whenever I can. As you may expect my kindle is absolutely loaded with novels of all kinds.

2. I'm absolutely fixated on rubber and cling stamps - I can never stop to buy them! True stampaholic.

3. I could live without television but I can't live without the internet.

4. Two things relax me most - cats purrrring and the pitter-patter of raindrops at night.

5. I used to think that knitting and cross stitch are the most boring activities for patient grannies, now I find these crafts fascinating and therapeutic.

6. I'm a language-lover. I'd love to speak some old languages from the past like Old English or Old Norse

7. I never go with the flow. I love to divert from the common trends and fashions just to go my way. I hate being imposed on.

Nordic Julekuler: "Eight-Petal Rose" (6/55) and "Mitten" (7/55)

Recently I have turned into a real knitted balls factory :) having fun and knitting my evenings away. Here are my new 2 Nordic balls:

Festive tealight candleholders

Hi all. More glass art to show :) I made these before Christmas. Simple festive motifs, painted with glass paints in classic Christmassy colours - red, green, yellow, gold. Added some very fine dusty glitter to make them more sparkly. My favourite shape of glass. Pleasure to paint.

There are three different motifs on them but only one - hollybush - joins them all :)

 

This set of 3 votives was a Christmas gift for one of my friends from Poland. Well-received and enjoyed a lot, apparently, I was told so by her :)

Now, last but not least - Sarah of Tilly Mint Boutique has awarded me tonight with a Liebster Award,

which was a lovely discovery when I came on to my blog today. Thank you very much, Sarah! Pleasure to receive this award. x x x I may have to give myself a good thinking time before giving this award to some of my favourites :)

Grapevine Vase

One of my recent creations - a square vase with a purple grapevine motif. Simple and minimal in decoration as it meant to be. Fine! Now, that I've finished it, I feel like revamping it a bit LOL Maybe with some more grape vine leaves on the side walls? What do you reckon? As you can see, sometimes my visions for the painted glass are very prone to fluctuating...

So, does that happen to you too? That feeling to change something once you've just finished creating it? Well, it's not all said and done for me, as I still can add some new painting to the existing one ;)

This week has been moderately busy for me. Spent the last days of it preparing for another summer fair - Offa's Festival in Wrexham. This one turned out to be a little more successful than the disappointing one from 2 weeks ago as more people at the event equals more potential customers. It also seemed like my Houses of Love and the Seahorses were the most eye-catching and intriguing motifs of all. (Should I paint some more of them then?) The weather was fab today! Also the location was pretty good. The other craft stalls were interesting and it was great to see so much variety of crafts. Made friends with some new crafters and enjoyed my selling time today!
